Firefighters made quick work of a blaze in a single-family home in El Sereno Wednesday afternoon.

The fire was reported at 1:28 p.m. Wednesday in the 4800 block of East Converse Avenue, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz.

The first-arriving crews saw smoke coming from the attic of the one-story structure, she said.

“Fire companies proceeded offensively, coordinating roof ventilation, interior fire attack and salvage operations on the first floor of the home,” she said.

All occupants got out of the house safely and no injuries were reported. Crews had the fire out in about 20 minutes, Lantz said.

Los Angeles police were summoned to the location to provide traffic and crowd control.
