Four people were arrested during a DUI checkpoint in Lake Elsinore, authorities said Saturday.
The checkpoint was conducted between 8 p.m. Friday and 2 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Riverside Drive and Collier Avenue, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
A total of 538 vehicles were contacted. Three people were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. One additional person was arrested on a felony warrant, according to the sheriff’s department.
Funding for the checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
