A woman walking in a marked crosswalk was fatally struck by a vehicle Tuesday in Long Beach.
The woman was struck around 1 p.m. near Fourth Street and Ximeno Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her name was withheld pending notification of relatives.
Police said the 53-year-old female driver who struck the woman remained at the scene and was cooperative with officers.
Speed, drugs, alcohol and distracted driving were not believed to be contributing factors in the crash.
