Police Thursday sought information from the public about a hit-and-run crash in South Los Angeles that killed a man on an electric scooter.

The 33-year-old victim was riding the e-scooter near the intersection of Hoover and 75th streets around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday when he was struck, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics. His name was not immediately released.

No suspect or vehicle description was immediately available.

The LAPD’s South Traffic Division was handling the investigation.
