The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Tuesday announced the dates of the next two Academy Awards ceremonies — the last Oscar ceremonies that will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
The 99th Oscars will be held March 14, 2027, while the 100th ceremony will take place March 5, 2028. Both ceremonies will begin at 4 p.m. Pacific Time.
The Academy’s annual Governors Awards event will be held this year on Nov. 15. Nominations for the 99th Oscars will be announced Jan. 21, 2027.
Beginning with the 101st Oscars in 2029, the ceremony will move to the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles. The Academy last month announced an agreement with theater owner AEG to hold the ceremony at the downtown venue through at least 2039. Also in 2029, the Oscar telecast will move from ABC to YouTube.
