An at-risk 78-year-old woman was reported missing Wednesday after being last seen in the La Brea area, prompting the issuance of a Silver Alert.
Jeanne Litvin was last seen at about 7:25 a.m. Wednesday near South Alta Vista Boulevard and West Second Street, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Litvin was described as a 5-foot-2-inch-tall woman weighing 140 pounds with brown hair and eyes. She was last seen wearing a red-and-black striped sweater and a black skirt.
Anyone with information regarding Litvin’s whereabouts was urged to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
