Two people suspected of vandalism targeting state and city property in Los Angeles and Burbank were taken into custody Thursday.
Investigators identified the suspects as Herman Sanchez, 47, and 18-year-old Maria Angela Mendez Jones, both of whom were arrested on suspicion of vandalism, conspiracy, and possession of stolen property, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials said officers found evidence linking the suspects to the vandalism cases, which primarily involved graffiti, and recovered stolen property belonging to the state and the cities of Los Angeles and Burbank.
Anyone with additional information was urged to contact the CHP Central Los Angeles Area at 213-815-2000.
