Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriffs’ Department Missing Persons Detail are asking for the public’s help Friday locating an at-risk 82-year-old man who authorities say has a mental health disorder and was reported missing in Hacienda Heights.
John Emsley Garside was last seen Thursday at 8 a.m. on the 1500 block of Glenelder Avenue, between Garo Street and Cedalane Drive, the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said.
Emsley is white, 6 feet, 1 inch tall, weighs 320 pounds, has gray hair, blue eyes, a mustache and a scar on left knee. He wears a gold watch and copper bracelet and was last seen wearing a blue shirt and gray shorts.
Emsley was last seen driving a gray 2021 Ford Bronco CA-8WNF417 and may be headed to destinations of the 8000 block of Beach Boulevard in Buena Park and the 8000 block of Foothill Boulevard in Rancho Cucamonga, authorities said.
