StubHub, one of the world’s largest ticket marketplaces, launched a new initiative Monday aimed at providing young people access to concerts, theater and professional sporting events for free.
Coaches, parents, teachers and community leaders can nominate an organized youth team, club or group in California to receive free group tickets to events and a chance to attend matches at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood and Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco for the 2026 World Cup.
Nominations are open at stubhub.com/accessca/.
Submissions will be evaluated based on criteria involving geographic diversity, community need, the team’s story and representation across sports and activities, age groups and gender.
The first group of recipients is expected to be announced later this year.
“Live events are part of the cultural fabric and economic lifeblood of California,” said Ellie Casson, StubHub’s senior manager for city and community affairs. “Seeing a live event — be it a concert, sports game, theater or something else — can be a life-changing experience for a young person.”
The $100,000 initiative is known as “StubHub Access: California.”
