A 24-year-old man who died from a gunshot wound inside an SUV in Boyle Heights was identified Tuesday.
Officers responded at 9:45 p.m. Sunday to a report that multiple shots were fired in the area of Fourth and Mott streets, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman.
They found a man with a gunshot wound to his head inside a vehicle, which was in the road with one door open, she said.
The victim was identified as Miguel Gomez, who was unhoused, according to the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office, which ruled his death a homicide.
Gomez was pronounced dead at the scene. No suspect information was available.
Video from the scene showed the vehicle was a silver SUV.
