A 38-year-old woman fatally shot in Watts was identified Thursday.
Officers were dispatched at 2 a.m. Sunday to a report of a shooting in the area of East 104th Street and Wilmington Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Division.
Paramedics rushed a woman to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
She was identified Thursday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Ronnek Evans, who sustained a gunshot wound to the head.
Another woman was taken to a hospital by a private vehicle, where she had stable vital signs.
The shooting occurred at a vigil for a woman who was killed May 25 by her boyfriend, according to ABC7.
