An at-risk 5-year-old boy and a 40-year-old man last seen in Van Nuys have been located, authorities announced Monday.

Emmett Wishon had been last seen with Anthony Wishon at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday near Hartland Street and Woodley Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated an Endangered Missing Advisory on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Authorities said Anthony Wishon was suspected in the disappearance of Emmett, and they were believed to be traveling in a black 2022 Ford Explorer.

The two have since been located, but no details were released about when or where they were found were not provided. Authorities did not say whether Wishon was taken into custody in connection with Emmett’s disappearance.

The relationship between Emmett Wishon and Anthony Wishon remains unknown.

The CHP issues an Endangered Missing Advisory to help locate a child or other endangered person who has been abducted or is unable to care for themselves and whose safety is believed to be in danger.
