It took Orange County Fire Authority firefighters 16 minutes to put out flames that started in an attached garage and spread into a San Juan Capistrano house, authorities said Friday.

The fire was reported at 11:22 p.m. Thursday on Camino Santo Domingo, according to the OCFA.

Video from the scene showed two cars burning in the driveway and the garage charred inside after the flames were out.

The flames spread into the home but firefighters stopped it quickly, fire officials said.

The residents and their dogs escaped safely and no injuries were reported, fire officials said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
