A 46-year-old man who was fatally shot and crashed into the front yard of a Lancaster home was identified Tuesday.

Deputies responded about 12:43 a.m. Monday to the 16200 block of Sweetaire Avenue, where they found the victim after his vehicle came to rest in the yard of the residence, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

He was identified Tuesday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Jarrod Price, who sustained gunshot wounds to the head and neck.

According to a videographer at the scene, neighbors said Price did not live at the home where the vehicle crashed.
