The body of a pedestrian was found lying in lanes of the Foothill (210) Freeway in Azusa Wednesday.
Someone reported the grim discovery to the California Highway Patrol at 3:31 a.m. Wednesday on the westbound Foothill Freeway east of Azusa Avenue. They told the CHP the body was partially blocking the slow lane.
The CHP’s online log does not indicate that anyone saw how the pedestrian was killed or by whom.
The CHP issued a Sigalert at 3:46 a.m. shutting down the right two westbound lanes. The Sigalert was expanded at 4:15 a.m. to include all westbound lanes from Grand Avenue. The HOV lane was open. The lanes were reopened at about 6:20 a.m.
