A water main in Los Feliz was repaired Friday after rupturing over night and sending water bubbling through the pavement.

The break in the 6-inch line was reported about 11 p.m. Thursday at 2141 W. Commonwealth Avenue, near Los Feliz Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.

Crews responded and worked overnight to remove and replace the damaged portion of the line.

Only two customers were affected by the break and the line was back in service by 8 a.m. Friday, with backfilling operations underway, an LADWP spokeswoman said.
