Four people were taken into custody Friday after leading police officers on a pursuit through multiple freeways in west Los Angeles.
Police officers tried to apprehend the driver of an older model Nissan sedan for allegedly having stolen the vehicle around 1:42 a.m. near the intersection of Pico Boulevard and San Pedro Street, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson said.
An object believed to be a handgun emerged from the vehicle as it was traveling on the San Diego (405) Freeway and trying to evade police, the LAPD said.
The pursuit ended in the mid-city area around 2:45 a.m. on Redondo Boulevard between 21st Street and Bangor Street, police said.
Two suspects attempted to flee on foot on the San Diego (405) Freeway before Washington Boulevard but were apprehended, according to the LAPD
