A woman shot and killed in Long Beach was identified by the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office Monday.

Madison Coldiron, 31, died of a gunshot wound to the chest, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Officers dispatched at about 5:20 a.m. last Monday to the 1900 block of Long Beach Boulevard regarding a shooting located Coldiron suffering from a gunshot wound, the Long Beach Police Department reported.

Paramedics rushed her to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

“Homicide detectives responded to the scene,” according to a police statement released soon after the shooting on Sept. 7. “The motive, circumstances of the shooting, and suspect information remain under investigation.”
