A motorcyclist killed in a crash with a truck on the northbound Antelope Valley Freeway in Acton was identified by county authorities Friday.
The crash was reported about 6:15 p.m. Thursday just north of Sierra Highway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The rider, John Williams, 45, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office. His place of residence was not disclosed.
Two lanes were shut down and a SigAlert was issued as a major traffic jam developed.
All lanes were reopened about 9:20 p.m. Thursday.
