Overnight lane reductions and ramp closures on both sides of the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway between Santa Fe Springs and Baldwin Park will begin Monday evening.

The closures are scheduled nightly through Friday, Caltrans spokesman Marc Bischoff said.

Up to two lanes on the northbound and southbound 605 Freeway will be closed from the San Bernardino (10) Freeway to Telegraph Road starting as early as 10 p.m. and lasting until 5 a.m. the following morning.

“All corresponding on- and off-ramps may be closed from 7 p.m. to as late as 6 a.m. as work progresses,” Bischoff said.

Northbound and southbound 605 connectors to the eastbound and westbound Pomona (60) Freeway will be closed as early as 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. each night.

Eastbound and westbound 10 Freeway connectors to the northbound and southbound 605 will be closed as early as 7 p.m. to as late as 6 a.m. nightly.

Northbound and southbound Golden State (5) Freeway connectors to the northbound 605 will be closed nightly from as early as 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.

All ramps will be closed sequentially as work progresses, and no two consecutive ramps will be closed at the same time.

Motorists were encouraged to use the Long Beach (710) Freeway or the 5 Freeway as alternate routes.

The work is part of the Super 605 freeway corridor projects to rehabilitate the 605 Freeway from Long Beach to the San Gabriel Valley.
