For the last day of summer The National Weather Service forecast for Los Angeles and vicinity on Wednesday calls for mostly sunny skies. Highs from the mid to upper 70s at the beaches to the mid 80s inland.

Wednesday night expect patchy low clouds and fog along the beaches in the evening then low clouds and fog. Lows in the lower to mid 60s.

The forecast for Thursday calls for low clouds and fog in the morning then sunny. Highs in the 70s to around 80.

In Coastal Orange County the forecast for Wednesday calls for partly cloudy skies. Highs 74 to 79.

Wednesday night it will be partly cloudy in the evening, and then becoming mostly cloudy. Lows 61 to 66.

Thursday it will be partly cloudy. Highs 73 to 78.

The ultraviolet index level in the Los Angeles area for Wednesday is a high 8, according to the weather service. A high exposure level reading of 7-9 means that a person could be sunburned in 7-8 minutes.
