A dog was found dead inside a commercial building that caught fire Sunday night in San Fernando, and a firefighter was hospitalized in fair condition after suffering second degree burns to his hand, authorities said.
The fire at 1107 DeGarmo St. was reported just after 8 p.m., according to Eric Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Thirty-two firefighters responded and doused the flames in 32 minutes, Scott said.
One firefighter suffered second degree burns to his hand and was transported to a hospital in fair condition, he said.
A dog was found dead inside the house, Scott said.
The cause of the blaze was under investigation, he said.
