A man was injured Saturday when he was struck by a train in the Lincoln Heights area of Los Angeles, authorities said.
It happened at 9:35 p.m. at 750 South Lamar St., Sgt. J. Browne of the Los Angeles Police Department Central Traffic Division said.

The man was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, Browne said.
The train was moving at a slow speed, she said.
She couldn’t confirm it was a freight train but said they are common in the area.
