A person was killed when a green taxi cab hit a utility pole and went down a San Diego (405) Freeway off-ramp in Westminster, crashing into a building, authorities said.
The crash was Sunday night on the Golden West off-ramp from the northbound San Diego Freeway, the California Highway Patrol said.
A witness told the CHP the taxi cab was moving at high speeds before the crash, the CHP said.
All northbound San Diego Freeway lanes and the off-ramp were shut down at 9:53 p.m. but the freeway lanes were reopened at 10 p.m.
