An Amber Alert was issued Saturday for a California vehicle wanted in connection with the abduction of two sisters in Los Angeles, authorities said.
The vehicle described in the Amber Alert is a 2014 black Dodge Challenger with purple racing stripes and a California license plate number 7WKZ957.
Police were investigating numerous sightings after the Amber Alert was issued at about 7 p.m by the Los Angeles Police Department’s Pacific Station.
Anthony Lee Gaines Jr., 29, is believed to have taken Kayleigh Gaines, 7, and Madison Gaines, 5, at 3 a.m., according to the Amber Alert.
The suspect and victims are all described as African American. Kayleigh is 4 feet, 5 inches tall, 67 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes last seen wearing a blue shirt, black tights and purple Crocs sandals. Madison is 4 feet, 1 inch tall, 65 pounds, with black braided hair and brown eyes, wearing a red shirt with three cats on it, blue tights and pink Crocs sandals.
Anthony Gaines should be considered armed and dangerous, the Amber Alert said.
