Authorities searched Friday morning for clues to determine why a vehicle crashed through the third floor of a parking structure in North Hollywood and plunged to the street, leaving the operator of the vehicle hospitalized in critical condition.
The crash occurred around 11 p.m. Thursday in the 5400 block of Tujunga Avenue and the driver was trapped in the vehicle and freed by Los Angeles firefighters, according to NBC4.
Video from the scene showed a gaping hole in the parking facility and the vehicle upside down on Tujunga Avenue.
