A wrong way driver crashed on the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway Saturday morning, prompting the closure of all westbound lanes of the freeway just east of Central Avenue in the unincorporated West Athens area of Los Angeles County.

At 2:50 a.m., calls of a vehicle going eastbound in the westbound lanes of the Glenn Anderson Freeway were received and witnesses said the vehicle was speeding and blacked out, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The wrong way vehicle crashed about six minutes later near the Harbor (110) Freeway, the CHP said.

It was unclear whether anyone was injured.

All westbound lanes of the Glenn Anderson Freeway will be closed until at least 4:15 a.m.
