A two-story house fire in a Mission Viejo neighborhood was knocked down Monday evening, with no reported injuries.
Firefighters arrived at the 27000 block of Encanto around 6:15 p.m. regarding visible smoke from the fire that burned through the attic, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
The fire was isolated and fully extinguished, preventing further extension to other areas of the house, an authority spokesman said.
It was unclear what may have sparked the fire, and investigators remained on the scene to determine a cause.
