Firefighters from the Riverside County Fire Department battled a residential fire in Mecca Sunday.
The fire was reported just after 9 a.m. Sunday in the 93000 block of Highway 111, where a single-story, single-family home was found with heavy smoke, according to the fire department.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was not immediately known.
Firefighters predicted remaining on scene for approximately four hours.
