The run of 11 decreases in 12 days to the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County totaling 5.2 cents ended Monday with an increase of one-tenth of a cent to $4.678.
The run began with five consecutive decreases, then was interrupted by an increase of one-tenth of a cent last Monday, then resumed the following day, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 3.8 cents less than one week ago and 5.4 cents lower than one month ago but 10 cents more than one year ago. It has decreased $1.815 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The six-day streak of decreases to the Orange County average price totaling 4.4 cents ended when it was unchanged, remaining at $4.642. It is 4.4 cents less than one week ago and 6.8 cents lower than one month ago but 13.9 cents more than one year ago.
The Orange County average price has dropped $1.816 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The run of 17 decreases in 18 days to the national average price totaling 12.4 cents ended when it was unchanged, remaining at $3.036.
The run began with four consecutive decreases. The national average price was unchanged Oct. 6, then resumed dropping the next day.
The national average price is 4.6 cents less than one week ago, 15.3 cents lower than one month ago and 14 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.98 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
