Three units of an Aliso Viejo condominium complex went up in flames and Orange County Fire Authority firefighters kept the damage from spreading while rescuing three dogs, authorities said Friday.
The fire was reported at about 7:50 p.m. Thursday on Cartegena, according to the OCFA. Arriving firefighters found flames through the roof of two units.
“Crews launched a coordinated fire attack, rapidly knocking down the flames and preventing further spread,” the OCFA said in a post on X. “During operations, firefighters also rescued three dogs from inside the building.”
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
