A pedestrian was fatally struck by a pickup truck Saturday in the Pinion Hills area of the Antelope Valley.
The crash was reported at 6:48 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Pearblossom (138) Highway and 248th Street East, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The unidentified pedestrian was struck by a green Ford F-150 and pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP reported. It was not immediately clear if the driver stopped at the scene as required by law.
Pearblossom Highway was shut down in both directions for the crash investigation.
