The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped to its lowest amount since Jan. 14 Monday, decreasing a half-cent to $4.447.
The average price has dropped six of the past seven days, decreasing 2.1 cents, including four-tenths of a cent Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 27.7 cents less than one month ago but 3.9 cents more than one year ago. It has dropped $2.047 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price dropped to its lowest amount since Dec. 22, 2024, decreasing seven-tenths of a cent to $4.328. It has dropped three consecutive days, decreasing 1.2 cents, including two-tenths of a cent Sunday, after back-to-back increases totaling 1 cent.
The Orange County average price 2.6 cents less than one week ago, 32.9 cents lower than one month ago and 1.5 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $2.131 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped for the fifth time in six days, decreasing three-tenths of a cent to $2.825. It has dropped 3.3 cents over the past six days, including eight-tenths of a cent Sunday.
The national average price is 3 cents less than one week ago, 18.7 cents lower than one month ago and 20 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $2.191 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
