A vehicle plowed into a Moreno Valley business Tuesday, causing significant external damage but no injuries.

The crash was reported at 1:55 p.m. Tuesday in the 24500 block of Alessandro Boulevard, near Indian Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The agency said several engine crews were sent to the location and discovered a car smashed into the wall of the business, which wasn’t identified.

An ambulance was summoned as a precaution, but the driver, whose identity wasn’t disclosed, did not require medical treatment, and no one inside the structure was hurt, according to officials at the scene.

Firefighters requested sheriff’s deputies to handle the investigation, and the Moreno Valley Building & Safety Department was alerted to the crash. Officials described damage to the wall as “heavy,” necessitating an inspection to ensure structural integrity.

There was no immediate word regarding what may have caused the vehicle to run into the building.
