One person was killed and a second person was injured in a multiple-vehicle freeway crash in Orange Monday morning.
The crash, involving as many as four vehicles, was reported just after 7:30 a.m. Monday on the northbound Orange (57) Freeway near Chapman Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Two people were taken to a hospital, according to a dispatcher with the Metro Cities Fire Authority.
One of the patients was later pronounced dead, according to the CHP.
The crash closed all but two right lanes for the emergency response and investigation until about 8:45 a.m.
