Firefighters from the Riverside County Fire Department battled a residential fire in Jurupa Valley Sunday.

The fire was reported at 10:15 a.m. Sunday in the 10050 block of Clydesdale Avenue where fire crews found a single-story, single-family residence with heavy flames.

Additional engines were requested to assist, and the fire was contained to the residence around 11:25 a.m.

The residence sustained major damage, but no injuries were reported.

Firefighters exprected to remain on scene for an additional two to three hours for heavy overhaul.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known. It was unknown how many people were displaced by the fire.
