The discovery of an unattended bag resulted in a brief evacuation of part of Terminal 4 at Los Angeles International Airport Wednesday, but the item was ultimately determined not to be a threat.
According to airport officials, the unattended bag was reported at about 7 a.m. Wednesday, resulting in a partial evacuation of the terminal. At least one lane of traffic was closed during the evacuation, but no flight operations were impacted.
The bag was determined to be harmless and the evacuation ended shortly before 8 a.m., according to the airport.
No injuries were reported and no other operations at the airport were affected.
