A 25-year-old man killed in a crash in which a vehicle struck a pole in Pacoima was identified Monday by county authorities.
The crash was reported about 8:20 p.m. Friday at Paxton Street and San Fernando Road and left another man in his 20s critically injured, according to authorities.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased as Angel Loya, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 27-year-old man was freed from the vehicle and taken to a trauma center in critical condition, Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Jennifer Middleton said.
An approximately 39-year-old woman sustained minor injuries, according to Middleton.
Personnel from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Division were investigating the crash.
