At least one person was killed in a head-on two-vehicle collision Friday in Thermal.
The crash was reported shortly after 1 p.m. Friday in the 58000 block of Fillmore Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency stated that crews encountered major damage to two vehicles and a total of four people were hospitalized.
Fillmore street was closed in both directions for an undetermined amount of time.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer David Torres, a Honda Accord occupied by a male driver, female passenger and a juvenile in the rear seat were southbound on Fillmore when they veered into a northbound lane and crashed head-on with a Toyota Camry occupied by a male driver.
The drivers from both vehicles were taken to area hospitals by ambulance and the woman and juvenile were taken to a nearby hospital by helicopter.
It was not immediately clear which party died in the crash.
