A two-inch gas leak that impacted a commercial building was mitigated Thursday in La Quinta.
The leak was reported at 7:42 a.m. Thursday in the 47000 block of Washington Street, south of Avenue 47, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency stated that no injuries were reported and additional resources were requested to assist at the scene, including a hazardous materials team, SoCal Gas and Environmental Health.
Crews mitigated the leak shortly after 11 a.m. and were expected to remain at the scene for an additional 45 minutes.
Both lanes on Washington Street were shut down until further notice, officials said.
The cause of the gas leak was not immediately available.
