A judge has confirmed an arbitration panel’s award of more than $300,000 against a Newport Beach company that allegedly breached its contract to the Los Angeles Rams by failing to pay all rent due on a SoFi Stadium luxury suite.
The NFL team filed court papers with Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Wendy Chang requesting she affirm arbitrator George Piggott’s conclusion that Continuum Analytics Inc. should pay $319,030. Chang granted the petition Thursday even though Piggott had not served a signed copy of the final Award on Continuum. She said the service was not necessary.
According to the Rams’ petition filed Dec. 1, the team and the company reached a settlement agreement in September 2024 after the firm breached a suite lease agreement. However, the company then broke the terms of the agreement by failing to make the required installment payments, forcing the Rams to pay mitigation costs, according to the Rams’ court papers, which further state that Continuum did not file an opposition to the confirmation petition.
