A pedestrian was struck and killed Saturday morning by a vehicle on the southbound Orange (57) Freeway in Anaheim, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 5:15 a.m. on the southbound freeway, just south of Lincoln Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The vehicle was described as a white Nissan Sentra, the CHP said.
The Nos. 3, 4, and 5 lanes of the southbound 57 Freeway, just north of Lincoln Avenue, was shut down at 5:31 a.m. while the investigation continued.
A representative from the coroner’s office was called to the scene at 5:37 a.m.
There was no other immediate information available.

I was there right after it had happened. Our car missed him by a few feet. He was lying on the road and brain matter was skewed across the lane. His head appeared to have been run over or he had struck the road head first at great speed after impact. There were 3-4 cars that stopped in the emergency lane with their hazards on just ahead of the corpse. I hope the investigation can identify this man and how this happened. There was no wreckage or a car to car collision at the scene. Maybe a hit-and-run?
This scene had left me traumatized. I grimace when I see pedestrians jaywalking now.
This is my son. The police warned us and have offered alternate ways to identify his body. Please remove this before my wife see this. I don’t want her to be traumatized worse than what we already are
