A 15-year-old boy suffered minor injuries in a kitchen fire Monday evening southeast of downtown Los Angeles and taken to a hospital.
Firefighters were sent to the 1300 block of East 20th Street, near Central Avenue, at approximately 7:20 p.m. Monday to reports of a fire at a house with visible smoke from the attic, according to Lyndsey Lantz of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The fire, which originated from a stove, was located and confined to the kitchen in 12 minutes upon the crews’ arrival, Lantz said.
