Fire damaged a detached garage Wednesday in Santa Ana, authorities said.
Firefighters were dispatched at 3:27 a.m. to the 3000 block of South Bradford Place, the Orange County Fire Authority reported.
“When Truck 76 arrived on scene, they found a row of detached garages with fire in an end unit immediately threatening the apartments behind it,” according to a news statement. “With a well-coordinated attack, crews were able to knock down the blaze before it could spread to the homes.”
The fire wrought $250,000 worth of damage to the structure and $100,000 worth of damage to its contents. The cause of the blaze was under investigation.
