A coalition of Asian American and Pacific Islander organizations released a multilingual voter guide Thursday and urged community members to make plans to cast their ballots in the Nov. 3 general election.

AAPI Equity Alliance, a coalition of more than 50 community-based organizations serving approximately 1.6 million Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in Los Angeles County, said the guide is intended to help voters understand statewide propositions and local ballot measures.

The guide is available in English and 12 Asian-language versions, including simplified and traditional Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Nepali, Punjabi, Tagalog, Thai, Urdu and Vietnamese.

“Voting early is our first line of defense,” said Manjusha P. Kulkarni, executive director of AAPI Equity Alliance.

“With threats around immigration enforcement and other election interference, we want AAPI voters to understand what’s at stake and simplify confusing terminology, in the languages they speak, to make informed decisions when they cast their vote, whether by mail or in person. Our goal is to provide facts and information and make voting more accessible in these urgent times.”

The organization said the guide is designed to help voters understand ballot measures, voting procedures and their rights ahead of Election Day.

According to a 2026 survey conducted by Asian & Pacific Islander American Vote and AAPI Data, 90% of registered Asian American and Pacific Islander voters said they planned to participate in the midterm elections, compared with 84% in 2022.

The voter guide is available at bit.ly/voterguide-2026.

California’s deadline to register to vote online or by mail for the Nov. 3 election is Oct. 19. Eligible residents who miss the deadline can conditionally register and vote through Election Day at designated voting locations.

County election officials were required to begin mailing vote-by-mail ballots to active registered California voters by Oct. 5, and ballot drop-off locations are available throughout the state.

Voters can check their registration status at voterstatus.sos.ca.gov and find polling locations and ballot drop boxes at caearlyvoting.sos.ca.gov.

Los Angeles County voters needing assistance in languages other than English can call the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s language assistance hotline at 800-815-2666, option 3.

Voters who encounter problems at polling places can also contact APIAVote’s multilingual voter assistance hotline at 888-274-8683.
