Authorities Wednesday identified a man who was fatally shot at the Hawthorne apartment of a neighbor, who was booked on suspicion of murder.
Cruise Skipps, 23, collapsed and died on a sidewalk after being shot in the 13000 block of South Prairie Avenue around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Christopher Fennelle, 25, was at home when Skipps and another neighbor — a 25-year-old woman — came to his apartment and an argument ensued, said Deputy Mike Barraza.
Fennelle allegedly produced a rifle and began shooting at the two, Barraza said, though the nature of the argument was not immediately disclosed.
The woman, whose name was not released, was uninjured.
