Authorities Wednesday said human remains found in the Mount Baldy area of the Angeles National Forest were those of an Azusa man who had been missing since July.
The remains were found about 11 a.m. on Dec. 30 near mile marker 10 along Glendora Ridge Road, according to Deputy Ryan Rouzan of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Investigators have identified the remains as those of Christopher Poland, 40, said coroner’s Chief Brian Elias.
The cause of death is pending further investigation, Elias said, adding that there was no indication that foul play was involved in the man’s death.
