Two suspects fired about 30 rifle and handgun rounds at a group of drinking friends outside a home in the Gramercy Park area of South Los Angeles early Sunday, but only one man was shot in the leg.
The targeted friends were outside at 1:20 a.m. at 8810 South Wilton Place when two males walked up and fired about 30 rifle and handgun rounds at them, said Officer T. McLaughlin of the Los Angeles Police Department‘s 77th Street Station.
Friends took the victim, about 20 years-old, to Centinela Hospital Medical Center in Inglewood for treatment, McLaughlin said.
The suspects fled the scene, he said.
No other details were yet available and authorities did not provide a description of the shooters.
There was no word of a possible motive for the attack, nor why only one man was wounded in the hail of gunfire.
