A fire department helicopter on Saturday hoisted an injured female hiker to safety from a Granada Hills park, authorities said.
The hiker was reported in distress about 1 p.m. in the 17300 block of Sesnon Boulevard in Omelveny Park, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
She had suffered a trauma injury and was taken by helicopter to a hospital, Stewart said. Her age was not available.
