A man was shot to death in Pomona, authorities said Tuesday.
The shooting was reported about 7 p.m. Monday in the 1400 block of White Avenue, said Pomona police Sgt. Edgard Padilla.
” Upon arrival, officers located the victim down suffering from gunshot wounds,” Padilla said. “L.A. County Fire personnel treated the victim at the scene but he succumbed to his injuries.”
The area of White Avenue and Phelps Street was closed to traffic for several hours while detectives searched the crime scene for witnesses and clues, he said.
The victim’s name was not released pending notification of relatives, and the motive for the shooting was not known, Padilla said.
